After Arlene's father passed away, she began to study stars and learned that human beings and stars are scientifically the same material. Arlene asked Tim, a multi-talented musician and friend with whom she previously collaborated, to create a song about stars. They traded possible lyrics - some inspired by quotes and teabag inspirations - to create the lyrics of in ASCENSION. Arlene decided to sing in this collaboration as she began to sing daily to her Mom after she became a widow. in ASCENSION is dedicated to Alvin Joseph Grant - a mechanical engineer and science lover who introduced Arlene to stars.
